Visitors typically climb the rocks to reach the top of the waterfall before jumping into the deep pool below. The highest jumping point is about 6 meters above the water, with other spots offering lower jumps of approximately 3.5 meters.
Rochelle, a 32-year-old visiting Ha Giang for the first time in October, shared that Du Gia waterfall is more untouched and has clearer water with ideal jumping points compared to other waterfalls in Vietnam. “Cliff jumping is a thrilling experience, perfect for those who love adventure and exploring nature,” said the French tourist.
Briona, a tourist from the UK, traveled over 80 km from Meo Vac to Du Gia with friends on October 27, noting “many people” were jumping, though she felt too scared to try it herself.
Guide Nguyen Thuat noted that domestic tourists are often interested in picturesque spots for photos, while international visitors prefer exploring deeper into the villages and experiencing untamed locations.
Local residents report hundreds of tourists visiting Du Gia daily for sightseeing and waterfall swimming. Accommodation facilities in the area have seen an increased influx compared to pre-storm Yagi times.
Nguyen Van Khuy, owner of Du Gia Panorama, stated that over 300 guests have visited in almost a month. His homestay can accommodate up to 30 guests per day, and on busy days with large groups, families have to find lodging at nearby homestays.

Dang Quoc Su, Director of Ha Giang Tourism Promotion Center, said tourism activities in Ha Giang have become vibrant again since October. Du Gia Waterfall has become a popular spot, primarily for foreign tourists. The return of tourists after the floods has created jobs and increased income for the locals.
To reach the waterfall, tourists can use cars or motorcycles following the route from Highway 4C - DT181 - DT176, then turn into the waterfall when arriving at Du Gia Commune. Vehicles are parked about a kilometer away from the waterfall, and visitors walk the rest of the distance. The ideal time to visit the waterfall is around 3 PM to 4 PM.

Du Gia Commune rests at the foot of the Ba Tien mountain range, with a portion of its area within Du Gia National Park, featuring both majestic and poetic landscapes, numerous waterfalls, and streams with clear water flowing year-round.
This is an unsupervised tourist site, with warning signs posted at hazardous spots by authorities. The path to the waterfall is challenging, with narrow gorges and large boulders, posing potential accident risks. Visitors are advised to be accompanied by locals or guides, remain safety-conscious, and avoid risky activities without proper skills.
